Since Ann Griffiths Davies wrote the history from 1951 to 2001, there have been many
further memorable concerts. In 2001 Roger Langford took up the post of
conductor. Under his leadership the choir has performed a wide range of
choral works, including Bach's B Minor Mass, Haydn's Creation and, perhaps
most challenging of all, Monteverdi's Vespers of our Lady of 1610. During
that time we have been lucky enough to sing with some outstanding soloists
and musicians. We celebrated our sixtieth anniversary in 2011 with a
performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion. |
